In this article I am going to tell you step by step how to make your old penny shiny and new! Its a fun way to keep your kids occupied. They may even want to experiment on other coins and things. First you squirt a little hot sauce on to the plate. Next you place your penny in the middle of the hot sauce. The more tarnished the penny, the funner it is to clean! Next you cover the top of the penny with the sauce. Now you will want to place it somewhere safe and leave it over night. In the morning you will want to take your penny and rub it with your fingers a bit. Rinse it with warm water and then get some baking soda onto your pointer finger and thumb. Take the penny between your thumb and pointer finger and rub the baking soda into the penny. This will scrub away the tarnish that is left in the cracks, and help it to become shiny again.
