How Do You Clean A Paint Gun?
Cleaning your paint gun immediately after you’re done using it can prevent blockages and other problems. Depending on the type of paint gun you have, disassembling, cleaning and reassembly may take some time. After you’ve cleaned your paint gun a few times, this process should become pretty streamlined. Disconnect the air source before cleaning or disassembling your paint gun. Use the owner’s manual if this is your first time cleaning the gun so you will be able to reassemble the gun after you’re finished. Most manuals include assembly diagrams. Disassemble the pieces of the paint gun. Use a dry, fabric cloth to wipe the inside of the barrel. Use a moistened paper towel to clean the outside of the barrel. Inspect the gun and use a cotton swab to reach dirty areas that you can’t reach with a paper towel. Clean each part as thoroughly as possible. Make sure O-rings are in good condition.
