Flat screen displays are also prone to fingerprints and smudge marks with frequent use. Use a few items that can be purchased at most automotive and electronic stores to clean a NEC flat screen monitor. Wipe the NEC flat screen monitor with a dry microfiber cloth to remove any dust. Wipe in straight lines to prevent further smudges on the screen. Spray LCD screen cleaning fluid onto a microfiber cloth.
