Here’s how to clean a microwave without a lot of effort. Soak a dish rag with water. The rag should be adequately wet but not so much that it drips all over the counter on your way to the microwave. Place the damp rag into the microwave. Heat it for two minutes. The steam action will loosen the the gunk built up on the inside of the microwave. Use the rag to wipe off the big chunks. Using hot soapy water, finish cleaning the microwave. It’s a good idea to use a disinfecting wipe at the end of the process as well. This will prevent any further spreading of potential germs.
