Use a dry towel or rag to wipe away loose dirt or excess grime on the leather mitt. Wipe the outside and inside. Apply a palm-size circle of regular, white foam shaving cream to the inside of the baseball mitt. The key ingredient in shaving cream that will clean the leather and make it last is lanolin.
