How Do You Clean A LCD Projector?
If you have an LCD projector and have been using it for a while you may notice a few fuzzy spots in the picture it projects. These spots, often known as “dust blobs,” occur when your projector is in need of a good, thorough cleaning, both inside and out. If you don’t have any experience cleaning delicate electronics, you need to take extra care when cleaning your projector. Make sure you don’t get any water or cleaning fluid inside it. Turn your projector upside down and place it on a soft surface, such as a stack of folded towels. You will notice that there are one or more fans on the bottom of your projector. Their covers will look like grids with holes in them. Remove the covers from the vents by pushing on the tabs at the side of their covers. This will remove them. Remove the grills directly on top of the fans. To do this, push in on the tab attached to each grill and rotate the grills until they come off. Do not apply pressure.
