How Do You Clean A Latex Mattress?

0

Latex mattresses are popular among consumers due to their density, comfort, elasticity and composition. Latex, or natural rubber, comes from the Hevea brasiliensis or rubber tree. After processing, latex is used to form various products such as mattresses. Cleaning a latex mattress requires items you likely have on hand. Remove the cover from the mattress if needed. Pour 1 cup of warm water into a small container and add three to four drops of mild liquid dish soap. Agitate the water with your hands to form soap bubbles. Dip a portion of a white cotton cloth into the soapy water and squeeze it gently to remove excess water. Spot clean the latex mattress with the cloth by wiping the areas firmly. Dampen another white cotton cloth under warm, running water and squeeze gently to remove excess liquid. Wipe the soapy solution from the mattress with the damp cloth. Allow the mattress to air dry completely before replacing the cover. It needs be dry to the touch.
