How Do You Clean A Hair Dryer?
Hair dryers use fans powered by small motors that blow air over an open-coil heating element to shoot out hot air. Over the course of time, hair dryers do require cleaning to remain at their optimum performance levels. Here is how to clean a hair dryer. Brush the grill of your hair dryer. Use a vacuum cleaner or a small brush to clean the grill and filter screen on the hair dryer intake filter. This will remove hair, dust and lint. Take the cover off your hair dryer with a screwdriver. Take apart your hair dryer to remove hair from the fan, motor shaft and other internal parts. You may have to spray any hard-to-remove hair with electrical contact cleaner to pry it loose. Brush away any debris in the motor. Pry the brush clips loose and remove the brush and spring. If they look worn, you may need to replace them. Lubricate the motor by applying one drop of lightweight household or machine oil to the brushing at each end of the motor. You may also dab oil on the end of the motor shaft wi
