Gas stoves preheat more quickly than most electric stoves and oven temperatures are more even. Because of this, many serious cooks prefer them. On gas cooktops, the burners are sealed and can’t be removed. This keeps food spills from leaking beneath the stovetop and makes cleaning easy.
