How Do You Clean A Front Load Washer?
Front-load washing machines are more water efficient than traditional washers. Not only do they require less water, but they also use less energy and tend to get your clothes cleaner. While using a front-load washer can save you money on detergent, water and energy costs, they also must be cleaned on a regular basis. A general rule is to clean it at least once a month. But check your owner’s manual for cleaning and maintenance guidelines. Add one cup of bleach to your washer’s soap dispenser. Turn the power on, choose the clean cycle and press Start. If you washer does not have a clean cycle, then set it to heavy wash with warm water. Mix one part vinegar to one part water in a clean squirt bottle. Squirt the vinegar mixture onto the front and top of your washer. Wipe away the mixture with your wash cloth. A circular motion will help prevent streaks. Run a second rinse cycle after your washer’s clean cycle is complete. Your front-load washer will be clean now.
