How Do You Clean A Diamond Engagement Ring?
Your beautiful diamond nearly blinded you when he first proposed, but now not so much? You don’t have to go to the jeweler to get your ring cleaned. It is easy to safely clean it yourself, and it will look just like it was plucked from the showroom floor. It only takes a few minutes and the sparkle will be back. Plug the sink that you’ll be cleaning the ring over. Dampen a soft bristle toothbrush with Mr. Clean. Any ammonium cleaner will work, but Mr. Clean is a readily available option that works well. Gently scrub the diamond with the toothbrush. Make sure to get in between the prongs- a lot of grime and hand cream build up there which make the diamond look dull. Rinse the ring in warm water over the plugged sink. Pat dry. Examine the ring. If you notice any spots that you’ve missed, repeat steps 1-4.
