Disconnect the power cord from the outlet before cleaning. Allow the burners to cool, and remove the burner caps and burner rings from the burners. Examine the igniter, the metal top and the base for dirt. Use a firm toothbrush to clean these areas. Water cannot be used to clean the igniter. Remove debris from the burner rings with a wire or straightened paper clip. Use caution to not distort the shape of the ring holes.
