How Do You Clean A Computer Of Spy Software?
Spy software can be installed on your computer when you download programs from unreliable sources. Sometimes these programs will simply fill your screen with unwanted advertising; other programs can download your credit card details and other personal information and email it to someone else. If your computer has been infected with spy software, remove it as soon as possible. Download and install a spyware remover. There are dozens to choose from. Some of these include SpyBot, Spyware Terminator and Windows Defender (see “References”). As of 2010 these programs are all free of charge. Go to the “Start Menu” and click on the spyware remover application. Once it has launched, go to “File” and “Scan for Viruses.” This will probably also be located on the tab near the top or on the left hand-side of the screen.
