How Do You Clean A Coffee Pot With Vinegar?
It’s a good idea to clean a coffee pot with vinegar occasionally in order to rid the coffee pot of excess build-up and keep it running smoothly. Wash the carafe of the coffee pot. Remove and wash the filter basket as well. Replace the filter basket after washing. Add about one cup of vinegar to the carafe. Pour the vinegar into the coffee pot as you would pour water in to make coffee. Turn on the coffee pot and let it go through one brew cycle. After the brew cycle is over, carefully remove the carafe with the vinegar in it and put the vinegar back into the place where the water goes. The vinegar will be tinted brown at this point. Let the coffee pot go through another brew cycle with the vinegar. After the vinegar has collected in the carafe, dump the hot vinegar down a slow drain.
