FILL THE COFFEE MAKER RESERVOIR WITH WHITE VINEGAR: Begin by pouring white vinegar into the coffee maker reservoir, where you normally pour the water when making a pot of coffee. LEAVE OUT THE FILTER: You won’t need a coffee filter, but if you have a reusable metal mesh coffee filter, you’ll want to put that in to remove any residue or stains that have formed. TURN ON THE COFFEE MAKER: Run the coffee maker with the white vinegar. Once the cycle has finished, let the vinegar sit inside the coffee carafe for about 20 minutes. POUR OUT THE VINEGAR: After you’ve let the coffee maker cycle with the white vinegar and allowed the white vinegar to work for about 20 minutes, you’ll want to pour it down the drain. FIL
