How Do You Clean A Canvas Bag?
Canvas bags are a popular accessory for carrying groceries and other purchases, as well as for toting along books, papers and other supplies for school or work. Canvas bags are an eco-friendly alternative to paper or plastic, but these useful accessories can quickly accumulate stains and get dirty. Canvas bags require a little extra care to keep them in good condition. Empty the bag and turn it inside out. Shake out any crumbs dust, or other dirt and debris that may have accumulated inside the bag. Gently vacuum the bottom of the bag if there is still dirt collected around the seams. Dampen a clean sponge with water and a small amount of mild laundry detergent. Look for a detergent that is formulated for hand washing. Gently blot at any stains in the fabric. Rinse the sponge thoroughly and dampen again with clean water. Gently blot at the surface of the bag for an overall clean. Do not rub, especially over areas that have dye or appliqués.
