How Do You Clean A Briggs & Stratton Walbro Carburetor?
If your lawn mower has a Briggs & Stratton engine and it won’t start or it dies after starting, you likely have a fuel problem. Always make sure the engine has gas in it. If it has gas and still won’t start, it’s time to clean the Walbro carburetor on the engine to get it running. Over time, gas and debris can gum up the carburetor and prevent gas from being injected into the engine. Follow the gas line from the base of the gas tank on the Briggs & Stratton engine to the side of the Walbro carburetor. Unscrew the clamp holding the gas line to the nozzle on the side of the carburetor. Pull the gas line off and point it into the bucket to catch any gas. Point the can of carb cleaner spray into the nozzle on the carburetor. Spray the can for four to six seconds. Reclamp the gas line to the nozzle. Unscrew the bolt from the base of the carburetor. Pull the bolt out and pull off the bowl it was holding. Dump the gummy gas in the bowl into the bucket. Spray the carb cleaner into the bowl and
