How Do You Clean A Beretta Pistol?

0

The Italian gunmaker Beretta manufactures a series of popular, reliable semi-automatic pistols. The Beretta 92 is the standard sidearm of the U.S. military. Even the best military-style pistol requires regular cleaning after use to keep on providing good service. A well-maintained Beretta will offer decades of reliable private shooting. Remove the magazine and double check that the gun is unloaded. Press the disassembly latch lease. Rotate it counter-clockwise until it stops. Pull the slide assembly forward. Press the recoil spring assembly forward. Lift it out. Remove the barrel from the slide. Apply solvent to the brush and use it to scrub the inside of the barrel. Take the ramrod and thread a flannel rag through the end to clean the barrel. Apply a little oil to a fresh rag. Use it to lightly oil the inside of the barrel with the ramrod. Use a second lightly oiled rag to oil all other exposed metal parts, such as the slide and barrel. Spray a little gun oil on the recoil spring.
