How Do You Choose A Military Career?
Many people simply sign on the dotted line, swear in, ship off to boot camp, and have their job chosen for them. But did you know you can choose your own job? You can research and find a job that’s right for your military career, however long it may last. Take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (aka the ASVAB). The higher the score, the more options that are open to you. There are many practice tests online where you can prepare yourself for the exam. While the test is not necessarily difficult, it does require perseverance and critical thinking skills. Your recruiter can also give you tips on how to succeed in taking the ASVAB and getting the score you want. Each service has a minimum required score on the ASVAB for entry into the service.
