Save big bucks by replacing your washer water mixing valve yourself. • Check the water mixing valve if you have problems with the washer not filling properly. • Unplug the washer and remove the cabinet to gain access to the water mixing valve. • Remove the wires from the solenoids and check the resistance on the coils. The reading should be between 500 and 1000 ohms in each solenoid. • If one of the solenoids is bad, you will need to replace the complete water mixing valve assembly. Check the filters inside of the water valve and make sure that they are clean. Dirty screen filter will restrict the flow of water.
