How Do You Check Fuel Pressure Regulator On A 2003 GMC Sierra Pickup?

There is a test port on the fuel rail. A fuel pressure gage is attached to the port and the fuel pump is turned on with a scan tool or with a jumper in the fuel pump relay to read the pressure. This is compaired to the spec fuel pressure. This is different for each engine.
