Your 1995 Cadillac Eldorado uses engine light codes to indicate problems with the vehicle’s sensors. Various sensors on the Eldorado control the engine knock, fuel delivery, O2 emissions and a variety of other functions. If a sensor has failed, your Eldorado will trigger the check engine light on your dash. Then you’ll need to know how to check the engine light codes using an onboard diagnostic scan tool. Open the fuse panel under the steering column and locate the open access port for the OBD scan tool, which is rectangular in shape. This is the access point for the diagnostic computer.
