The Toshiba Gigabeat is a handheld video and music player . The Gigabeat is powered by a battery installed within the device. Though you cannot change the Gigabeat battery, you can recharge it using one of two methods. The first method is to use the Gigabeat AC adapter, which is supplied with the Gigabeat. The other option is to connect your Gigabeat to a USB port on your computer. Press the “Batt.” switch on the bottom of the Gigabeat to “On.” The “Batt.” switch was designed to extend the battery life of the Gigabeat. When switched to “Off,” the Gigabeat conserves battery power. Plug the AC adapter wire, which is connected to the power brick portion of the adapter, into the charging jack on the right side of the Gigabeat. Plug the circular ends of the power cord into the power brick portion of the adapter and the other end into an electrical outlet. Unplug the AC adapter from the Gigabeat when the battery meter on the LCD screen has a check mark over it. If the battery meter has a lig
