How Do You Change Windows XP Log On Screensaver?

When Windows XP starts, a welcome screen prompts you to click on your user name to log on. Alternatively, you may be presented with a Welcome to Windows dialog box that prompts you to press “Ctrl+Alt+Del” to log on. By default, if you do not press a key for ten minutes, the Windows log-on screensaver starts. Go to the “Start” menu and click “Run.” In the Run dialog box, type “regedit,” then click “OK.” In the Registry Editor window, locate the following registry key: HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop. In the right pane, double-click “SCRNSAVE.EXE.” In the “Edit String” dialog box, type the name of the screensaver you want, along with the full path, in the “Value Data” text field and click “OK.” Close the Registry Editor.
