How Do You Change The Thermostat In A Plymouth Voyager?

0

The Plymouth Voyager is one of Chrysler’s entries into the minivan market during the mid-1980s. By the third generation (1996 to 2000), the Voyager evolved into a sleek, graceful vehicle with a broader wheelbase and all new chassis components. The standard engine was the 2.4L DOHC with 150 horsepower and a three-speed automatic transaxle. A 2000 Voyager in mint condition is a great find. Use this information to guide you through the installation of a new thermostat. Connect the battery cable from the negative terminal. Then isolate it to avoid accidental contact with the terminal while installing the thermostat. Drain the cooling system until the coolant level is below that of the thermostat. Loosen the bolts on the thermostat housing. Pull the upper radiator hose then take off the housing bolts and remove the housing. Disconnect the thermostat. Remove the old gasket and throw it away. Clean any dirt, debris or gasket material from the housing and the mating surfaces. Soak the new gask
