Changing the spark plugs and distributor cap in a Dodge Caravan is really no different then changing the spark plugs in any other car. So let’s get started, just follow the steps below to get started. Step 1 Tools needed are spark plug socket, ratchet, torque wrench(optional), extension, and flat tip screwdriver. Step 2 Reach down the booth where the spark plug wire meets the distributor cap. Pull one spark plug wire out at a time and replace with a new one. Don’t forget to remove the other end of the wire where it is connected to the spark plug itself. Step 3 While you are removing the old spark plug wire change out the spark plug at this time. Use a spark plug socket to do so. Replace with a new spark plug. Tighten as necessary. If you have a torque wrench, tighten to the torque specifications.
