How Do You Change The Scan Schedule In AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition?
In previous versions of the free edition of AVG Anti-Virus, you weren’t able to change the scan schedule. The program was set to scan every day, and if you wanted it to scan more or less frequently, you had to upgrade to the paid edition. However, there is a way to change the scan schedule in the current version of the free AVG. Right-click on the AVG icon in your taskbar or on your desktop. Click on the top menu choice (“Open AVG User Interface” in the taskbar icon menu, or “Open” in the desktop icon menu). This will bring up the AVG program controls. Click on “Tools” in the menu bar that goes across the very top of the page. Select “Advanced Settings” from the drop-down menu. Select “Schedules” from the list on the left. Then select “Scheduled scan” which will appear immediately below “Schedules.” You will now have a page, on the right, where you can set the scan schedule.
