You can increase the battery life between charges on your Archos MP3 player by adjusting the power settings. Follow the steps below. Turn on your Archos MP3 player and select “Setup” from the main screen using the keypad. In the Setup menu, select the “Power” icon. Notice the two sections of power operation adjustments. On the top of your screen are the Battery Operation adjustments, and on the lower portion are the DC Power Operation adjustments. Highlight the “Power Off” option in the Battery Operation section. Decide how many minutes your inactive player should remain on before it automatically shuts off. Highlight the “Backlight” option in the Battery Operation section. Adjust the amount of time that the backlight will remain on while your player is inactive. Select the “Hard Drive” option in the Battery Operation section.
