At the bottom of the engine just in front of the transmission, there is a bolt ( 11/16 ) unscrew counter clockwise to drain oil. Next unscrew oil fiter counter clockwise, be sure rubber gasket comes off with filter. Filter location 2.9 L – passenger side rear vertical 3.0 L – driver side rear horizontal 4.0 L – passenger side rear horizontal 2.3 L driver side rear horizontal. Install new filter, place some amount of oil on rubber gasket of filter before screwing on filter clockwise. Screw bolt in clockwise. Open oil cap on top of valve cover and pour in new oil.
