How Do You Change The Light In A Lava Lamp?

0

The lava lamp was brought about by the British inventor Edward Craven Walker in 1963. He was inspired by a contraption he saw at a local pub in Hampshire, England. Lava lamps were first known as Astro Lamps. What we consider a lava lamp today is made up of a cylindrical base in which a 40-watt bulb is housed. A glass bottle filled with oozing wax and colored water sit upon this base. A plastic top, which matches the base, covers the top of the glass bottle. Turn off your lava lamp. Let stand for 30 minutes until cool to the touch. Lift off the plastic top from the glass bottle containing the “lava.” Gently lift the glass bottle off of the base of the lamp. A light bulb should now be exposed. Remove the lightbulb from the base and replace it with an identical frosted 40-watt light bulb. Replace the glass bottle and plastic top onto the base of the lamp. Turn the lamp back on.
