The Pixma MP170 ships with and uses two Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE) ink cartridges that must be replaced when empty. You may view the ink cartridge level in the Printer Status window. When the ink status shows an exclamation point, purchase an ink cartridge replacement. Using replacement ink cartridges other than those specified by Canon may result in less than optimal printing results. Turn on the MP170.
