Altering the drives containing your HP recovery disk and your Vista installation can allow you to structure your computer according to your specifications. This is possible by repartitioning the drives on your computer using the partition management tools in the Vista operating system. This will allow you to resize your Vista installation drive and your recovery drive to your requirements. Click “Start,” right-click “Computer” and click “Manage.” Click “Disk Management.” Right-click on the partition to be altered. Select “Extend Volume” or “Shrink Volume” as required. Enter in the new desired size of your recovery disk partition or your Vista installation partition.
