How Do You Change The Heat Element In A Kenmore Front Load Dryer?
When you notice that your dryer is not warm when running or that your clothes are not getting dry, chances are that you need to replace the heat element. Replacing the heating element is not difficult and you can accomplish this task within an hour. The Kenmore heating element is behind the toe panel of your dryer. The toe panel is directly under the dryer door. Unplug the Kenmore dryer from the dryer electrical wall outlet. Remove the two hex head screws that secure the toe panel to the dryer with a nut driver. The screws are on the bottom of the toe panel near the dryer base. Pull the toe panel away from the dryer. Locate the heater can on the lower right of the dryer. The heater can has several wires attaching to the side. There is also a round thermostat that attaches to the side of the heater can.
