How Do You Change The Headlights In A 2000 Grand Am?
First introduced in the 1970s, the 2000 Pontiac Grand Am is a family sedan with two basic lines, the SE and the GT. Maintain your Grand Am by performing regular services, like oil changes, for safer driving and a longer life for your car. Occasionally, the headlights will burn out; change them immediately when they do. Turn off the ignition and open the hood. Unfasten the clips holding the splash shield and remove it. Grab and lift the two retaining clips holding the headlight assembly in place. Pull the assembly forward and out of the Grand Am. Rotate the bulb assembly counterclockwise, and pull it out of the headlight assembly. Disconnect the bulb assembly from the wiring harness. Pull the burnt out bulb out of the socket. Push the new bulb straight into the socket. Reinstall the bulb assembly into the headlight assembly. Rotate it clockwise until it clicks into place. Replace the headlight assembly. Reverse Steps 2 and 3 to secure it back into the car.
