How Do You Change The Front Brake Pads On A Ford Taurus?
I did an ehow on how to change the rear brakes on a Ford Taurus. Now this one is how to change them on the front. Changing the rear brakes is a lot harder then changing the front ones. So let’s get started. Just follow the steps below. The brakes may have asbestos, a cancer causing material. Always wear a mask to prevent breathing this dust. Tools needed are jack and jack stand, lug wrench, needle nose pliers, screwdrivers, and a socket set. Specialty tools needed are caliper spreaders, brake spring pliers, brake adjusting tool, brake bleeder hose, and brake cleaner. Set the emergency brake. Remove the tires. You should see the brake caliper over the brake disc. There should be two bolts on the inner side of the brake caliper. Loosen those bolts with the proper size socket. Remove the caliper and set it so it doesn’t put tension on the brake hose. Pull the brake pads out and put the new pads in. Put the old brake pads in the caliper.
