How Do You Change The Color Of An Ivy Plant?
The amount of sunlight and fertilizer you give to a variegated ivy plant will often determine the colors in its leaves. Variegated ivy will develop yellow and white in its leaves if you create the right conditions. If the conditions change, however, you’ll see your ivy’s leaves change back to solid green. Place the variegated ivy plant in indirect or filtered bright sunlight. You’ll burn the leaves if you place your variegated ivy plant in direct sunlight. Fertilize your ivy plant very lightly once a year. Variegated ivy grows much slower than green ivy and needs less fertilizer. Trim off any solid green leaves with pruning shears or scissors. Trimming these leaves will encourage the plant to grow more leaves with white and yellow pigment. Give your ivy plant more sunlight if you notice the leaves turning green. You should notice the leaves turning back to the desired colors after more intense (but not direct) sunlight exposure.
