How Do You Change The Bulb In A 4-Tube Fluorescent Light Fixture?
Fluorescent lights have many benefits over traditional incandescents. They last longer, are more efficient and are extremely easy to care for. However, fluorescent bulbs eventually burn out just like any other light bulb and must be changed. Keep an eye on the bulb–if the end starts to darken that means the bulb is dying and needs to be replaced. Leaving a dying bulb in will drain the power from the ballast. Turn the fixture off and let it cool. If you need to change only one of the tubes in a four-tube fixture, the other three will be extremely hot. Wait 10 minutes before proceeding. Take one end of the tube in hand and turn it about a quarter-turn clockwise. The end prongs will be in line with the insertion slot, allowing you to slide out the tube. Pull the end of the tube from the insertion slot. The opposite end of the tube should slide out as well.
