A Compaq/Hewlett-Packard iPaq Pocket PC is a small personal digital assistant (PDA) that allows you to connect to the Internet on the go. It manages your email, appointments and contacts. The PDA contains two batteries. The rechargeable battery is the main power source for the PDA. The rechargeable battery should be removed for cleaning and can be replaced when depleted. When the rechargeable battery is removed, an internal battery lets the device remember and store data, so vital information is preserved. If this battery goes out, only Compaq/Hewlett-Packard can replace it. Press the battery release latch on the rear of the unit downward to release the Compaq iPaq Pocket PC battery door. Lift the battery door upward to remove it. Flip the device over and the battery should fall out of the compartment. If not, it can be pulled out.
