how do you change the background color of a text box in QuarkXpress 6?

The easiest way to change the background color of a text box is to do it in the “color” palette. There are three icons on the top of this window. The left most is for box border, the middle one is for the text, and the rightmost one is for the background. With the text box selected, click the icon for the background, then click the color you want to use. You can set the tint to different percentage, the default is 100%. You can also use different blending for the box, the default is solid. Experiment with different settings until you’re happy with what you got. Hope this helps!
