How Do You Change System Startup In Vista?

0

In Windows Vista, when you install a program, it may set itself up to start automatically whenever you boot the computer. If you want to change the system startup options to remove programs that you no longer want to start with the computer, you can do so through a built-in tool inside Vista. This tool allows you to disable, enable and remove programs from the startup area. Log in to your Vista computer, and click on the “Start” button. Select Control Panel. Type “Startup” into the search area and then click on the program labeled “Stop a program from running at startup.” You cannot be using the Classic View for the Control Panel, and you must have Windows Defender running. Select the program you wish to change the startup options for and then click the “Remove,” “Disable” or “Enable” button on the right side of the screen. Close the window and restart your computer to apply the settings changes.
