How Do You Change Pickups In A Takamine Guitar?
Acoustic guitar manufacturer Takamine has been creating prized instruments for years. The company offers several models, including traditional box-style acoustics, guitars with modern cutaways, and electric/acoustic hybrids. Many acoustic players prefer to install Takamine’s branded Tri-Ax pickup, an all-encompassing pickup that includes an onboard preamp, but switching this pickup for another, similar one is a simple task. Lay the Takamine guitar on a flat table with the towel underneath the guitar’s body to prevent accidental scuffs to the finish. Put the small pillow under the neck and headstock to make the guitar level and to add stability. Loosen the strings or completely remove them if desired. Use the screwdriver to unscrew each attachment screw on either side of the pickup, taking care not to press down with too much force for risk of damaging the wood around the sound hole. Loosen each screw, and once loosened enough, remove the Takamine pickup and set aside. Place the new pic
