I just saved $317 on labor and materials by buying a used cooling fan assembly for my 1995 Ford Taurus over the internet; it was in very good condition with a 1 year warranty and came with free shipping. I then did the work myself. In the 1995 Taurus (3.0L engine) you have plenty of room to change out the cooling fan assembly. The issue is whether or not you can reach all of the bolts–is there enough room–and in the 3.0 there is plenty of room. You can also reach everything from above, so you don’t have to lift the vehicle! First thing you need to do is move parts out of your way. Using the correct size of sockets, take off 4 bolts on the engine flap and move it aside. Remove another 8 bolts to get a couple other parts out of the way that are bolted on top and in front of the radiator.
