How Do You Change Master Lock Combinations?
Master Locks are used to keep doors of every kind closed. Master locks are opened with a number dial that has a three-number combination. Often times these combinations are lost, forgotten or discovered by someone who is not supposed to be inside the structure that is kept locked so the combinations need to be changed to a more secure combination. Step 1 Open the Master Lock by entering the current combination. Step 2 Twist the body of the lock 180 degrees. The body is the largest part of the lock, typically circular or square in shape. The hook of the lock is what is inserted into the body to lock the lock. Step 3 Push the lock down as if you were closing the locking mechanism and hold it there. Step 4 Enter in the new code by turning the lock clockwise for the first number, counter-clockwise for the second number and then clockwise a full turn before entering the third number. Step 5 Release the lock, turn it 180 degrees and lock the lock. Step 6 Test out your new combination.
