How Do You Change Corvette Headlight Bulbs?

0

The headlight bulbs on a Chevy Corvette can blow out with no warning. Moisture inside the headlight assembly, an electrical short, or regular use can cause a bulb to burn out. Replacement bulbs can be purchased from most auto parts stores, however, and replacing the light normally takes only five minutes. You will need the part number stamped on the base of the old bulb in order to buy the correct new bulb. Open the hood and remove the screws on the back of the headlight assembly that hold the headlight assembly in place. Slide the headlight assembly forward. Remove the electrical connector running to the headlight ballast. Turn the headlight bulb counterclockwise and pull it straight out of the housing. Install the new bulb. Installation is the reverse of removal.
