Most of the speeches you make will involve not just informing an audience, but also persuading them to adopt your point-of-view. These steps will help you to achieve that goal. Be an expert – If you have some experience with your subject, or (better) are a recognized expert in the field, make sure the audience knows that. Have the host introduce you with your credentials. Lead your speech with your expertise. Sprinkle references to your expertise throughout the speech.
