The Ruger 10/22 carbine is a solidly performing weapon that both hunters and gun enthusiasts enjoy. You can increase the firepower capabilities of the Ruger 10/22 carbine by changing the barrel it comes with for one of the many specialized models that are available. You will need a Ruger 10/22 carbine-compatible rifle barrel from a hunting or gun shop and a few hardware tools. The modular nature of the Ruger 10/22 carbine enables you to change the barrel without needing experience in taking rifles apart. Pull back on the bolt of the Ruger 10/22 carbine. Unload any ammunition from inside of the chamber. Press the safety button on the left side of the bolt handle through to the right side with your fingers. Place the trigger guard lock on the trigger of the Ruger 10/22 carbine. Lock the trigger guard. Pull back on the bolt lock that is on the bottom of the Ruger 10/22 carbine in front of the magazine.
