How Do You Change Army DEP Ship Date And Contract?

0

You can’t be in the DEP for longer than 365 days. If you want to go 18X then you would have to wait until later to do it, you can’t renegotiate at this time. My suggestion is to go ahead and ship on your Option 40. 18X isn’t the only way to go Special Forces. You can get your Airborne and infantry training out of the way and then you can volunteer for Special Forces later on in your career. The majority of people who go SF came from another MOS, not all were straight off of the street. If you would rather get 18X anyway, there’s no guarantee that there will be any 18X slots available when you are eligible but you are still guaranteed your current contract.
