How Do You Change A Windshield Wiper Fluid Pump?

0

The windshield wiper fluid pump dispenses the windshield washer fluid. Tubing is connected to the bottom of the washer fluid reservoir that runs to the pump which draws it down from the reservoir and up to the nozzles on the top of the hood. If this motor fails, you must know how to change a windshield wiper fluid pump. Open the hood and locate your washer fluid reservoir. This is normally located on the driver’s side of the engine bay. Lift up on the reservoir. There is not normally anything holding it in place, however, it is secured by a tongue and groove clip system. If you pull up on the reservoir, it will come off. Locate the fluid pump. It should be underneath the reservoir. Remove the electrical connector running to the pump. Remove the hose running from the fluid reservoir to the washer pump. Remove the bolts holding the pump to the vehicle’s frame. Install the new washer pump. Installation is the reverse of removal.
