Using a Pur faucet-mounted filter removes impurities in the water used for drinking and cooking. After a while, however, the filter cartridge will become full and the water will stop coming through the filter. At this point, the filter cartridge needs to be replaced. It doesn’t take long and soon the water will taste good again. Unscrew and remove the front cover of the water filter’s faucet housing. Sometimes it is difficult to remove; wrapping a towel around the lid helps provide traction. Remove the old filter cartridge. If it is difficult to grab, turn the sink’s faucet on slowly. The water pressure will push the old filter cartridge out making it easier to grab. Discard the old filter cartridge. Clean the outside of the front cover of the faucet housing.
