You will learn how to open your PC and replace a power supply in a standard PC. Make sure PC is unplugged and you have touched something to dispel any static. Open right side of PC Case (usually 2 screws on the end where the power plugs in). Locate power supply and proceed to disconnect power to the motherboard (generally 2 plugs) and power to any hard drives, CD Roms, floppy drives. Essentially all the cords coming from the back of the power supply should be disconnected. Physically remove the power supply. Generally the power supply is held in the computer with 4 Phillips screws. Be aware that sometimes the space can be tight around the power supply and you might need to remove the CPU cooling fan or RAM or other components.
